Configuration
Device parameters
VDGS devices are highly configurable and offer the same settings as their real-world counterparts:
Docking stages, their distance limits, speed restrictions, and docking assessment distances are customizable for each individually placed device.
Custom stop positions can be assigned to different types of airplanes, either defined through individual ICAO type designators like A19N or by larger groups, such as the entire Airbus A320 family.
Two guidance options are available: standard nose-wheel guidance to a stop bar painted on the ground, or door alignment for precise docking with a non-movable T-jetbridge.
Depending on the device type, ramp information (RIDS) features such as chocks status and arrival/departure block times may be available.
Different units are also supported. For example, the Safedock family of devices can show distances in either meters or feet. Screen graphics and device behavior adjust to the configured units.
See the SimObjects page for a complete list of configurable parameters.
Custom 3D models
Instead of providing a pre-built set of docking devices, we turn your custom 3D models into working units, using part attachments and model behaviors introduced in MSFS, which retain your ability to edit models and tweak their graphics even after rigging.
Devices are delivered to you as MSFS project components that you can directly copy into an airport project.
